But then I suspected this was going to be a good 'un - unlike some of the subscription boxes, the contents of this were visible on the webpage before purchase so you have a good idea before buying whether it's worth it or not, but at £9.95 delivered this was a bit of a steal!
My 'most desired' award goes to the 'balmi' lip balm - I've heard to much about the eos lipbalms and heard this was a pretty good, more easily available in the UK, version. I would have probably bought one eventually anyway and at £4.99 in boots, it essentially meant the rest of my box was less than a fiver! This is a very cute wee thing, I like the look of it a lot and has a handy keyring attachy thing, and I do actually like the flavour, though its not a sharp fresh blackcurrant like I expected, more like a blackcurrant ice cream (which if you've never had you should definitely try - gorgeous!)
Next was the Nelsons Pure and Clear Daily Face Wash - a full sized product which is always a bonus, and generally retailing at around £7.85. I gave it a go this morning and first impressions are good but things like this need to be given a little time before a full opinion can be formed, but regardless happy to find this in the box!
I do really love a good bath, so was more than happy to also receive Ancienne Ambiance Bath Salts - mine came in 'Arangia', made with orange zest and is probably not the variety I'd have picked myself but smells pretty good and is a nice introduction to a brand I've been interested in trying for a while.
Also included were the very pretty floral tweezers from The Vintage Cosmetic Company. Not tried them yet but I'm forever losing tweezers so will definitely come in hand and they feel very decent quality.
A couple more samples, a Good Things Miracle Mattifier Moisturiser and a Weleda Firming Night Cream will be prefect for keeping at my boyfriends house, we don't stay there often so wont go through things like that very quickly but it'll be nice to have my own there so I don't have to remember to take them with me.
The Japonesque Beauty Fixation packs also look like they'd come in very handy - 24 applications each of lip conditioner, makeup remover and nail polish touch up come in pre-filled swabs in neat little plastic boxes that look perfect for travelling.
Another perfectly travel-sized product included in the box is the Mirenesse Secret Weapon 24hr Mascara - though this does sound very interesting and if it works as well as it claims to (it apparently coats your hole eyelash with a 'tube' of mascara) then it need not be relegated to travel only!
And finally, in the name of working on beauty from the inside out, a sachet of Chia Bia seeds - packed full of Omega 3!
And that's what I got in my box! Not bad for £9.95, eh? Looking forward to seeing what else they release! Did anyone else get this? What did you think?
